Marketing manager

About the role

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of our marketing and campaign strategies ensuring that they support the overall charity vision; providing an online mental health support service.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping up to date with government policy on refugees
  • Developing a new marketing and communications strategy including media and public relations, internal comms, brand marketing, advertising, digital and social media 
  • Line managing the marketing team of 3 junior staff
  • Increasing the charity’s profile with social media influencers and youth support organisations
  • Managing the press office, working with other members of the team to deal with press enquiries and develop media relationships.
  • Developing and delivering eye catching creative and impactful marketing programmes
  • Managing the marketing team budget
  • Communicating and presenting to colleagues and trustees to secure support for key marketing projects
  • Providing clear briefs to external agencies and freelancers
  • Develop key messages to be used across all channels

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Marketing related Degree or Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification
  • Three years’ experience managing a marketing team with at least two direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including proofreading, brief writing, copywriting and presentations
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Adwords.

Desirable

  • Media/advertising experience – planning, negotiation and implementation. 
  • Experience of both business to consumer and business to business marketing
  • Experience of working with young people to deliver digital marketing outcomes

Salary

Salary range for Policy and Advocacy adviser, depending on qualifications and experience £32,000 - £38,000.

Additional information

Evening working may occasionally be needed at marketing launch events.
