Administrator
About the role
On a day-to-day basis the administrator supports the work of the wider NGO team by providing administrative services and ensuring the smooth running of the office. The role ensures that administrative functions are carried out professionally and the organisation is fully compliant with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Booking flights, overland travel, accommodation and visas for project site visits
- Scheduling meetings
- Managing online diaries
- Taking minutes during meetings
- Opening and sorting post
- Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
- Printing, photocopying and scanning documents
- Keeping records and establish filing systems both online and paper based
- Maintaining the office supplies
- Writing thank you letters to donors
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- 2 years’ experience in an administration position
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
- Confident in using IT packages: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to work to strict deadlines for charity reporting
- Understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- A commitment to the organisational mission to challenge human rights abuses
Desirable
- Relevant administration qualification
- Experience of working with customer relationships management systems
- Experience of arranging and managing online meetings
- Basic knowledge of shorthand
Salary
Salary range for Administrator based at our NGO field office, depending on qualifications and experience £19,000 - £27,000.
