Cloud Logistics under Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) is on a mission to create the most sustainable, efficient and innovative cloud logistics network on the planet. As the Sustainable Logistics Packaging Project Manager, you will be a central team member responsible for driving our sustainable transportation packaging program to reduce waste from Cloud Logistics' global areas of operations in line with our Zero Waste by 2030 commitments and 2025 interim goals. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the enterprise and supply chain to implement best-in-class waste mitigation strategies and lead projects to reduce packaging waste from the Cloud Supply Chain. This opportunity will allow you to translate your Project Management skills into sustainability impacts, partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify industry leading solutions for packaging sustainability and be part of an award-winning supply chain team that is dedicated to innovation as a key driver of business value. This position requires extensive multi-stakeholder coordination, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and apply compelling data-driven insights to sustainable transport packaging initiatives. This role will directly contribute to Microsoft's zero waste commitment. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field or equivalent years of experience. 6+ years of experience in sustainability 6+ of experience in project management, supply chain, logistics, operations-related roles, engineering 2+ of experience in greenhouse gas emissions AND waste accounting/reporting Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in business/MBA, economics, sustainability, environmental science, or equivalent experience Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) Procurement experience onboarding new vendors/suppliers Growth mindset with problem solving skills, including keen data insights Experience in implementing sustainable packaging at a global scale Experience working with sustainability professionals Experience working in a large matrixed organization Track record of driving results through deep and resourceful collaboration Experience in impact evaluation methodologies and frameworks Fulfillment & Logistics IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year. Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets (see below). The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role (except as noted below); the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The way we define roles includes two things: discipline (the type of work) and career stage (scope and complexity). The second part identifies the relative seniority of the role a higher number (or later letter alphabetically in the case of ATR) indicates greater scope and complexity. You will develop and refine new and existing roadmaps to drive adoption of sustainable transportation packaging initiatives across the supply chain. You will support the enabling and onboarding of new sustainable logistics projects, such as sustainable packaging, leveraging data to prioritize areas of high-impact. Create and execute a framework for cultivating and evaluating related procurement opportunities for sustainable transportation packaging. Develop and represent sustainable transportation packaging in key internal contexts, including but not limited to zero waste targets, and internal reporting. You will demonstrate creativity and curiosity in exploring opportunities to introduce new technologies and contribute to long-term strategy by conducting analyses. You'll develop technical knowledge that can be applied to identify opportunities for improvement with minimal guidance.
