Your key tasks and responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the management of the offshore wind turbine foundation package including design, tendering, leading contract negotiations, manage the manufacturer supply contract and delivery of the whole package scope (engineering, manufacturing, and delivery) until handover to operations
• Delivery of the detailed design, a safe and high quality fabrication, and delivery of foundation structures once a project enters the construction phase
• Managing the concept design of new and novel offshore wind turbine foundation structures for offshore wind turbines, during the origination and development phases of a project
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as, external design houses and fabricators to produce cost effective and value-added foundation designs for our development projects
• Maintenance of the high safety standards within the company through intelligent design and risk management
• Ensuring that contractors work safely and work to good industry practice and in accordance with legislation and RWE's requirements.
• Management of budget, and schedule ensuring delivery to contract, identifying and mitigating any potential delays requirements, supporting with any variation orders and claims.
• Direction, evaluation, and management of all risks associated with the foundation package within a wider offshore windfarm project
• Supporting internal stakeholders to implement innovation within the foundations package
• Ensure that all lessons learned from our operating fleet are incorporated into future projects and support to Procurement, Quality, and HSE departments
• Identification of fields of development and demonstration of savings potentials
• Manage RWE's involvement in ground breaking joint industry and research projects
• Provide general and specialist engineering knowledge to review and assess the performance of our existing wind turbine foundation structures
• Support one or more projects in development and or delivery

You may be required to perform the following activities:

• Ensure that all lessons learned from our operating fleet are incorporated into future projects and support to Procurement, Quality, and HSSE departments
• Identification of fields of development and demonstration of savings potentials
• Manage RWE's involvement in ground breaking joint industry and research projects
• Provide general and specialist engineering knowledge to review and assess the performance of our existing wind turbine foundation structures
• A Professional Engineer
• Experience in large engineering infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of the local and global HSSE laws and standards
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Good communicator and excellent team player
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Experience in steel fabrication and offshore engineering
• Member of a professional engineering body
• Demonstrable experience of working effectively in an international business
